Elmo

These days, the Furchester Hotel theme tune is constantly in my head. I mean ALL THE TIME. "Let your furry stay begin!" and "Cookie come with every meal...lalalalalalala".

I need to sleep.

But, to be fair, as kid's TV goes, it's not half bad.

So, for my daughter's first birthday (how did that happen?) I decided to make it Elmo-themed.

I'm very aware that this was a party for me. Not my daughter. Me. She's one. She will never remember this day, but I most definitely will. And do you know what? I had some bloody good fun organising it all.

I made a slightly pink Elmo cake (anyone know how to make butter icing red? Nope? Neither do I.), red paper plate bunting, place names and Elmo masks. I ordered some Elmo balloons and invited close family to the local baby-friendly pub for some grub and drinks. It was great. And the Other Half even remembered to film us singing happy birthday. Bloody brilliant.
